Oak Lane is special to our family because, among other things, Oak Lane feels like a family! Oak Lane offers not only an outstanding childcare and preschool environment and education, but it also offers itself as a community to its families, and we feel such a sense of warmth and connection with our Oak Lane community. We feel so lucky that we have found a place where the entire staff truly care deeply about their work, love and get to know the kids and their families in such a genuine way, and where staff stay for years and years and years….thus reinforcing that sense of community and family.

My two grandchildren have spent several years each at Oak Lane. As a former Kindergarten teacher and after having visited many times, I feel there is no better place to be! The Director Ronnie has a true understanding of what young children should be doing and how they should be doing it. If I had any more grandchildren, they would be going to Oak Lane.

Oak Lane is the most wonderful place. We have never met a more caring, nurturing group of teachers and staff. They are truly exceptional. Most of the teachers have been there for years. This was very important to us after coming from a center where there was constant teacher turnover. We love that the children lead the curriculum, and they do the most wonderful projects and activities. We love that the children have so much outside time playing on the playground and planting vegetables and flowers in the spring and then incorporate what they grow into their projects and snacks.

Our older daughter was more than prepared for Kindergarten and we have Oak Lane to thank for the seamless transition. It helps that the center is in a house on a quiet, dead-end street. It makes for a very homey, warm environment, especially on the days Mr. Frank makes his famous blueberry muffins and the smell wafts throughout the entire center. One of the best parts of the experience are the life-long friends that both our daughters, as well as we, have made with other Oak Lane families.

Oak Lane is not just a child care center, it’s a family. It’s a community. Some of my greatest friends are families I met through Oak Lane. The decision to send your child to day care is not always an easy one but knowing what I know about the quality of the care at Oak Lane, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
